Natty's Solo Competition

Natalie competed in the Gotta Move dance competition on Friday May 4th at Provo High School.  She got 1st attendant (1/2 point away from being Queen!) and had a blast!  she has learned so much and does a wonderful job!

Here's a video I took with my blackberry.  She danced to "Us Against the World" by Christina Milian.

Girls' New Room!

The girls' room is finished!  We first painted, then made a triple bunk bed, and today the girls put the polka dots on the walls.  They love it!  We will next get bedding for them.

Christmas in March Dance Recital and Primary Talent Show!

Due to illness, hospitalizations, and surgeries, Megan's Dancers were unable to perform at Christmas 2011, SO the celebrated "Christmas in March"!  Once again, Megan has prepared these girls so well!  I am amazed at their ability!
Their ballet was to "Where Are You Christmas?"

Erica has such grace and beauty!  She wants to begin learning point!

I wish I had put Natty in gymnastics!  She has a lot of spunk and energy and shows fantastic talent for tumbling!

Miss Natty performed a SOLO!  She did such an amazing job!  She is planning on competing this spring!

Megan's mom, Terry, had all of the younger children come up on stage to sing "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" during one of the costume changes.  Lydia and Jason got up on stage, but didn't sing...Lydia was TICKED that she didn't get to do a solo...

I never gave Erica permission to grow up!  Just look at her!!!

The day before the dance recital, our Primary children put on a talent show.
Natty performed with some girls from her Activity Days group.  Megan taught them the dance just about a week and a half before...

Jason played the drums.

Kinsey sang the flower song from "Tangled" and her "Puppy Song" that she made up.  I could not believe she got up to do it!!!

I'm Jammin'

Peach jam, is there anything sweeter?
Probably not since it took SIX cups of sugar and only FOUR cup of fruit to make this delicious fruit spread.
And homemade jam goes along perfectly with homemade bread.
And homemade bread and jam does a body good when we get the first cold spell of the season!
I'm "Livin' my Dream!!!

Canning!

There is just a satisfying feeling of a job well-done, and my first attempt at canning on my own was just that...sastisfying and a job well-done!  I was more than a little intimidated, but just a bit of organization, and the busywork of peeling the peaches, when I heard the 'pop' of the lids sealing, I was smiling ear to ear!!!  Thanks, Mom, for walking me through the process!
Now on to jam!
